Gugguu began in 2012. Two sisters, both mothers of three, struggled to find high-quality, stylish, and durable children's clothing for their kids. It was important to them that the clothes could withstand regular use and be passed on to the next children. This sparked the idea to start designing and producing children's clothing themselves.
Currently, Gugguu's selection includes over 100 different products with various color variations. The collections cover sizes for children aged 0-12 years: 62, 68, 74, 80, 86, 92, 98, 104, 110, 116, 122, 128, 134, 140, 146, and 152cm. The size chart is based on the Finnish FINATEX children's measurement chart.
Fabric and clothing production partners have been selected through Scandinavian references. Responsible manufacturers that meet all of Gugguu's quality criteria are located in Finland, the Baltics (Estonia and Latvia), and Poland. All materials are carefully chosen, tested, and safe. All fabric suppliers are European, and the fabrics come from Finland, Estonia, Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy. The 100% organic fleece is woven in Finland. Gugguu is constantly working on material development: they test, wash, and search for new, more sustainable options. In the future, the products will feature recycled polyester, recycled nylon, and recycled elastane.
