Globe Hope, a pioneer in recycling textiles, was established in 2003 by a Finnish designer Seija Lukkala, with the idea of creating timeless design products out of textile waste. The company’s values are based on ethical, sustainable, and fair actions. The main objective at Globe Hope is to offer consumers a sustainable alternative that does not require the use of new materials.
Approximately 96 % of Globe Hope’s products are made from recycled and surplus materials such as recycled cotton, recycled polyester and surplus leather. The company also utilizes used car seatbelts, advertising banners, sails, and disposable event carpets. Globe Hope cherishes long and stable supplier relations, and most of the production is located in EU countries such as Lithuania, Estonia and Finland. The clothes are mainly manufactured in Bangladesh under controlled conditions.
